At Ventura Home Loans, every achievement fuels our commitment to pushing boundaries and achieving greater heights. Recently, we proudly stood among the top 10 finalists in a rigorous Women-Owned Business Pitch Contest organized by Key Bank for their Key4Women program in conjunction with Micro Enterprise Services of Oregon (MESO). Ventura Home Loans was awarded runner-up among existing businesses in a pool of 210 applicants. This was not just a recognition of our hard work; it was a testament to our unwavering dedication to our mission.

About the contest

The competition process, demanding a detailed business plan, market analysis, and profit projections, served as a platform to showcase our vision and commitment to our clients. Our 4-minute pitch and subsequent Q&A session with a panel of 5 judges allowed us to highlight the value we bring to the mortgage industry. Applicants competed for cash awards totaling $50,000.

Employee Mortgage Education Program

The program we pitched during the competition was the Employee Mortgage Education Program—a unique offering designed as an employer-sponsored benefit aimed at providing homeownership education to employees.

This program stands as a beacon of change in the industry. It’s not merely about facilitating home loans; it’s about fostering a culture of empowerment and social responsibility within workplaces. By directly engaging employers, the Employee Mortgage Education Program offers our Roadmap To Homeownership program as an accessible employee benefit. This strategic approach allows companies to take social responsibility by invest in the wellbeing of their workforce.

Our next steps

As we celebrate our success as runner-up, we are already envisioning how these earnings can be aligned with our mission statement. Our goal at Ventura Home Loans has always been to guide our clients toward homeownership, helping them experience the joy of owning a home while minimizing financial stress.

As we move forward, our success in the competition fuels our determination to launch and expand the Employee Mortgage Education Program. The earnings from the competition will be channeled toward refining this program, making it more accessible and impactful for employees across various industries and communities.

We extend our gratitude to MESO, Key Bank, the panel of judges, and everyone who has supported us on this journey. Ventura Home Loans remains committed to transforming lives through homeownership education and empowerment. Together, let’s build a future where homeownership is not just a dream but a tangible and achievable reality for all. Thank you for being part of inspiring our journey.
